The future of Reagan Middle School is still unknown after the Princeton Elementary School Board took no action on the issue for the 2nd straight month.
In front of a full gym at the Tiskilwa School, Superintendent Tim Smith told the Board of Education that the administration recommends “no action” on the building-use situation that could cause Reagan Middle School to stop receiving students. Smith said he wanted to take more time to review any and all possible options regarding the building.
Earlier in the night, the board heard some emotional testimony from Tiskilwa residents who said that losing the school would leave the small town of Tiskilwa with next to nothing.
Other highlights of last night’s meeting include approval of some new board policy and 2 applications for federal grants.
