A jury determined yesterday that homicide was the cause of death for 47-year-old Tzantera (SAN-TERA) Bach-Dalton at a Bureau County Coroner's Inquest.
Bach-Dalton, of Rockford, was parked on the side of the road on May 20th when 18-year-old Christina Elmers struck her vehicle. The impact caused Bach-Dalton's car to spin off the road twice and enter a ditch.
During the inquest, Bureau County Coroner Janice Wamhoff said Bach-Dalton was pronounced dead at the scene.
Elmers, of Albany IL, was taken to a hospital where a toxicology report discovered she had a BAC of .26, over 3x the legal limit.
The inquest lasted about an hour yesterday as the case was presented to the jury and deliberated.
Bureau County State Attorney Pat Hermann said he will review the crash reconstruction report and decide to whether or not peruse further charges.
