State Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Director Warren Ribley and local officials gathered at Veterans park Monday to discuss stimulus funding Princeton will receive for energy efficient measure. City Electricity Superintendent Jason Bird says national statistics show that customers using smart grid can save anywhere from 17 to 44 percent. Bird says the city expects to have the technology installed in the top 100 residential utility customers by the end of April. Ribley says Princeton is on the leading edge of technology in the state. He also praised the city for it’s broadband over power lines system.
