Funeral service for G. Elaine Brown, age 87 of Henry, will be Tuesday, Jan 29, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Norberg Memorial Home. Jim Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mount Bloom Cemetery, in Tiskilwa on Jan 29, 2013.

Mrs. Brown passed away on Thursday, Jan 24, 2013 at Trinity Hospital Rock Island. She was born on Feb 03, 1925 in DePue, Illinois to Walter "Bill" and Wavie Gertrude (Bales) Hedgespeth. She graduated from DePue Schools and from dental assisting school in Chicago. She worked as a dental assistant for many years before moving to Davenport, IA where she worked at Bendix Corp. In 1966 she married Wayne R. Brown. They were married 34 years before he died in 2000.

Elaine is survived by her children: Sally Beck of Davenport, IA, W. Robert Brown of Wichita, KS, and Shelly (Jim) Pervenecki of Henderson, KY. Also surviving are five grandchildren; Greg, Samantha, Tim, Liz, and Kaitie and one great-grandchild, Hannah. Surviving as well are 3 sisters, Mabel Peterson of Princeton Jean Richardson and Mazie Alice both of Moline and one brother James (Betty) Hedgespeth of Baltimore, MD.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
