LaVerne Manning

Memorial service for LaVerne J. Manning, age 77 of Princeton, will be Friday, Mar 15, 2013 at 12:00 PM at the Norberg Memorial Home. Mark Manning will officiate. Burial will be private and at a later date. The family will receive friends on Friday, Mar 15, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Norberg Memorial Home.

LaVerne Joseph Manning passed away on Wednesday, Mar 13, 2013 at St. Margarets Hospital. He was born on May 13, 1935 in Thompson ,IL. to Bernard Joseph and Catherine Mary (Haffman) Manning. Attended school in Polo, IL. He married Shirley Whipple in 1957. She passed away in 1991. He then married Norma Johnson in 1993. He was an over the road truck driver for Auto Buyers, he owned his own Milk Truck for 5 years, Illinois Valley Trucking, and eventually retired from Consolidated Freightways in August of 1998. He enjoyed woodworking, crafts and spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife Norma Manning of Princeton. Also surviving are children: Mark (Amy) Manning of wyanet, Julie Moore of Houston, Ladonna (Bill) Fasig of Dacula, GA, Margo Grotti of Princeton, Larissa (Greg) Kramer of Pennsauken, NJ, Bradley Moore of San Diego, CA, 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Surviving as well are 3 sisters Lavonne Blakesley of Livingston, MT, Leota Cavanauen of Polo, IL, Donna Conklin of Beloit, MI, and one brother Lyle (Shirley) Manning of Polo, IL along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and his first wife.
