Billy Sims Sr.

Billy Ray Sims, Sr., 69, of Clinton, Iowa, formerly of Tiskilwa, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013, in his home.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, in the Fiocchi-Jensen Funeral Home, Princeton, with Deacon John Murphy officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Tiskilwa. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the funeral home.
Billy was born on May 22, 1943 in Princeton to Gusty and Cordie (Cain) Sims. He married Marty Ervin on April 28, 1963. He was a graduate of Tiskilwa High School. He had worked at LCN door closers in Princeton. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Tiskilwa.
He is survived by: his sons, Billy (Cindy) Sims, Jr. and Mike Sims, both of Clinton, Iowa; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Doris Ann (Charlie) Mason of Princeton, and Joanne (Terry) Henkins of Princeton.
Billy was preceded in death by: his parents; and his wife, Marty, in 1988.
