Funeral service for Gerald William Marsh, age 68 of Princeton, will be Monday, Apr 22, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Norberg Memorial Home. Rev. Patrick D. Henry and Rev. David Menet will officiate. Burial will follow in the Elm Lawn Memorial Park on Apr 22, 2013. The family will receive friends on Monday, Apr 22, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Norberg Memorial Home.
Mr. Marsh passed away on Wednesday, Apr 17, 2013 at Perry Memorial Hospital. He was born on Feb 25, 1945 in Seattle, Washington to Vernon and Margaret (Reiner) Marsh. He graduated from West Seattle High School in 1963. He attended Evergreen Community College in Seattle, Washington. Jerry was a professional musician since the age of 16. He played the Accordion and the Drums. He was involved with and traveled with several bands and also worked in manufacturing. Most notably he had the band European KonneKection in Seattle for many years. He and his wife moved to Princeton in 1996. He retired from Eakas Corp, last July. He was the Accordion player for the Christmas Walk in Princeton. He married Shirley on Dec 13, 1975 in Seattle, Washington. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Walnut and attended Redeemer Lutheran Church in Princeton.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years Shirley Marsh of Princeton. Also surviving are two sons Paul (Kathie) Swanlund of Princeton and Dan (Tammy) Swanlund of Princeton. Also surviving is one granddaughter Cristy Benevides of Princeton and three grandsons Kenny, Phillip, and Troy Hubbard all of Princeton and two great grandsons Dylan Hubbard and Caden Benevides of Princeton. Surviving are his in-laws Robert and Helen Aaron of Princeton and various extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
