Grace Aiken -83 of Princeton, IL passed away on Sept 5th , 2013
at Liberty Village in Princeton, IL, after an extended illness.
Born June 27, 1930 in Limestone, Tennessee to Daniel C andMartha (Bailey) Bailey she married Robert (Bob) Aiken of Telford, Tn. He proceeded her in death December 20, 2007.
She graduated from Limestone Schools and became a lifelong homemaker and active member of several churches, the First Brethren Church in Lanark, Illinois and Hertitage Baptist of Johnson City, Tn. Active in Woman’sauxiliary and woman’s domestic missionary services, as well as serving as an In-Home-Care provider for the elderly, while residing in the Lanark, IL area.
Surviving are her brother Elmer( Ruby) Bailey in Tennessee; son, Bill ( Marsha)
Aiken of Princeton, IL; Grandchildren Michelle (Jeremy) Elliott of Johnson City , Tennessee; Tyler See in Douglville, Georgia; Britt (Angel) See of Limestone, Tennessee; Kellie (Chris) Tappan of Dixon, IL; Stacy (Duane) Long of Dixon, IL, Rebecca ( DJ) Martinez of New Brunfells, Texas; Kris (Nick) Tarpein of Bettendorf, Iowa; 15 great grandchildren, four great/great grandchildren and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by a daughter Linda Kaye (Aiken) See, her parents,4 brothers( Floyd,Guar, Estel,Avery) and 4 sisters( Edith,Bertha,Emma,Nora)
Services are to be held at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Tennessee on Monday, September 9, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. Eastern time zone with transport arrangements facilitated by Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton, IL.Burial will follow the services at Monte Vista Burial Park in Johnson City Tennesse e, where she will be laid to rest with her husband Bob and daughter Linda.
The family will receive friends for viewing Noon-1:30 p.m. Eastern time zone Monday, September 9, 2013 atDillow-Taylor Funeral Home in Jonesborough, Tn.
Memorials may be directed to St Margaret’s Hospital in SpringValley , IL and will be directed to St Margaret’s Hospice.
