Harold “Tim” Louis Andersen, age 73, of Ohio, Illinois died Tuesday, September 24th 2013 at the Walnut Manor Nursing Home in Walnut, Illinois.
Tim was born on June 23rd, 1940, in Walnut, Illinois, the son of Harvey and Fern (Peach) Andersen. He was united in marriage to Betty Hardy on June 14th, 1959, at the First Christian Church in Walnut, Illinois. He owned and operation Andersen Power Equipment in Walnut for several years. He was a member of American Legion post #179 and Happy Hookers Fishing Club, Walnut Chamber of Commerce, as well as a member of First Christian Church in Walnut. He was an avid Cubs and Bears fan.
He is survived by his wife Betty of Ohio, Illinois; one daughter Ann “Branson” Lawrence of Somonauk, Illinois; two sons Gary Andersen of Oregon, Illinois, and Glenn Andersen of Ohio, Illinois, seven grandchildren: Branson, April, Ryan, Tanya, Erica, Jarron and Abigail; four great grandchildren: Kearston, Tate, Kaylee and Adria; five sisters: Betty Sissel of Yorkville, Illinois, Nancy Christensen of Walnut, Illinois, Janice Hansen of Princeton, Illinois, Karen “Bill” Lind of Walnut, Illinois , Mary “Larry” Bartman of Ottawa, Illinois; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and mother in law, Evelyn Hardy.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September, 27th at 10:30 a.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut, with Rev. Brian Moore, pastor of the First Christian Church of Walnut, officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 26th from 5-8p.m. at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut. A memorial has been established in his memory in a lieu of flowers.
