William Lamb, age 91, of Princeton, Illinois, died Monday, October 7th, 2013 at the Walnut Manor Nursing Home in Walnut, Illinois.
Bill was born on March 21st, 1922 in Princeton, Illinois, the son of Clarence and Alma (Hansen) Lamb. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was well known in the community for the pictures he took and the articles he had written about Bureau County. He was a charter member of the American Theatre Organ Society and was the high school and reunion photographer for many years. Bill worked at the Apollo Theatre in the projection room as an assistant manager. He als worked at Spies and Jostens.
He is survived by one brother Clarence W. “Jerry” (Shirley) of Henderson, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Shirley and Rosemary.
Cremation rites were accorded. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday October 15, 2013 at 3p.m. at the Oakland Cemetery in Princeton with the Rev. Jon Olinger, officiating. Garland Funeral Home in Walnut is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be sent to www.garlandfuneralhome.com
